My name is Chris Jaeger and I own Chris Jaeger Consulting. I’m 49 years old as I write this and I have three daughers; Elizabeth, Julie, and Jess. I grew up in Gloucester, the Oldest Seaport in the United States, also now renowned as the homeport of the M/V Andrea Gail, a swordfishing boat, which the movie The Perfect Storm is based upon. I went to Gloucester High School and graduated with the Class of 1979. After High School I went to Embry Riddle Aeronautical University where I learned to fly. After college, I returned to Boston and then Gloucester. Using the technical skills I learned while in college, as well as many life skills learned while working as a Dockmaster at a high-end marina on the Intercoastal waterway, I ended up in banking and finance. After starting a family and climbing the corporate ladder I decided that the suit and tie thing wasn’t for me. I left my position as Vice President of Networked Systems Technology within the Fleet Financial Group in 1996. Today, life is good. My consulting company specializes in Internet Marketing strategies for small to medium sized businesses and I’m fortunate to work for some really smart business owners and entrepreneurs. Most of my clients own their own companies. My primary focus, or my niche, is the wedding industry. My Marketing to Brides Online website is one of the most well-respected sources of Internet marketing information in the wedding industry. This past summer I developed a smart-phone application to help brides and grooms find the local services they need for their wedding. The Smart Wedding Planning iPhone application is available free of charge at the Apple store. This Fall I am traveling for business and also working with the student managers of Lucky Lobster Marketing at Gloucester High School.
